Nashoba Unified Sports pairs typical athletes with special athletes in the Nashoba district and surrounding communities to help children build friendships and athletic skills while having fun learning the game.
Soccer and basketball programs are planned for
Sunday afternoons, 2:30-4pm.
The fall soccer program will be played on the fields of Bolton and Stow during September and October and the winter basketball program will be at the Emerson School gym in Bolton during January through March.
Volunteer elementary, middle school and HS athletes who will take the time to assist and guide the special athletes are needed so that the special athletes have the opportunity to participate in a team sport. Volunteer partners (ages 8 and older) and special athletes (5 and older) may come to some, or come to all of the sessions.
Each session includes skills instruction, fun activities to practice skills, and a game. High School Varsity athletes and adult coaches guide each day’s routine. Athletes and their partners work together throughout each afternoon.
Registration for either soccer and/or basketball is open now for partners and special athletes here.
